Discover all the photos of World Peace Day at Parc Bertrand

A big thank you for all your support !  

The day following the celebration of World Peace Day which took place on 20th September in Parc Bertrand in Geneva, the whole team at Grains of Peace would like to warmly thank all those who contributed to making this celebration a real success!

Hundreds of people came to celebrate this day with us, many discovering World Peace Day for the first time. People had the chance to enjoy the animations, listen to the storytellers, participate in the cooperative games and draw and paint together with the theme of peace.  

A fantastic fresco measuring 10 m² was made by the many children and participants of the artistic workshop, a witness to their creative energy and real inspiration for the notion of peace. This fresco has already been exposed at the Peace Meetings organised by the Peace and Non-Violence Collective on 26th September in Geneva. We hope to be able to exhibit it again in the future as soon as possible!

It was a real pleasure to share this day with the public in the company of our followers and members who came in great numbers.  

There is no doubt that we wish to repeat this celebration in 2010, which in our eyes will be even better and brighter: We are extremely encouraged by the success of this first event, the calm atmosphere of the celebration and the positive response of the public.
