Debate on world conflicts – The Earth Focus Foundation invites Grains of Peace

On Tuesday 26th May, Grains of Peace took part in a day of debates on world conflicts, organised by the Earth Focus Foundation.

The possible causes, consequences and solutions of situations of conflict, such as in Tibet, Sri Lanka or Israel-Palestine, were all subjects of reflection lead by 4 classes from the Golettes secondary school and one class from the Collège du Léman in two phases…

1. Workshops

The morning was dedicated to workshops in small groups, focusing on conflicts in general and on specific conflicts (India-Pakistan, Rwanda etc…)

Facilitators from the Geneva School of Diplomacy, Earth Focus, ICV and Grains of Peace supervised these workshops.

2. Presentations and debates

Following the students’ presentations on their reflections from the morning workshops, 3 speakers enriched the debate:

• - Delia Mamon, President and Founder of Grains of Peace
